Back to Normal
Summer has come to an end, school is back in session, and schedules are back to normal. Well, if we can call hectic and chaotic normal? This summer has been a great time to spend with family on vacation and at camp as we learned to deepen our relationships with God.
Not only did we learn more about God, and His love for us, but we also were the hands and feet of Jesus. We took the time to help neighbors, specifically Dallas Park Elementary. I am so thankful for each of you. I am thankful for the time and effort you have spent giving money to children and students for camp, spending time making goodie bags, making or buying breakfast and snacks, and using your talents to minister in the classrooms for Dallas Park faculty and staff.
Our chief end is to know Christ and make him known (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19-20). SHBC family, you are living out Scripture and what it means to be a Christian! Let’s continue to be the light in a darkened world. When we have the light of Christ, we cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14). As our schedules return to “normal,” our call to know and share Christ does not change.
Wednesday, Aug. 22, the students will break from the normal FireFall schedule. We will be bowling at Cityview Lanes. Please drop off your students at Cityview Lanes at 6pm, and pick them up at 8pm. The cost is $10 per student, and they will need extra money for snacks and drinks.
