Called to Teach
My first newsletter article as your Children’s Minister! What a privilege to be able to share with you each month. Actually, I think the boys just wanted an extra week to not have to write. :-)
Stepping into this role has been exciting, challenging, and a lot of work, but at the same time, I am honored and humbled that God has called me to this ministry. I thank each of you for your support, encouragement, and prayers.
I love teaching children the Word of God. It’s so fun to see their faces light up when they know an answer. I love their enthusiasm to share what they are learning and how they see God at work around them. They have the sweetest prayers and such pure faith. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child(ren)’s life and spiritual growth.
None of this would be possible without the amazing teachers your kiddos have on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. They plan and prepare each week’s lesson, spend time in prayer over the children, and truly have a desire to see each one know and love the Lord with all of their heart. Would you take a moment to thank them for their dedication to the Lord’s service and the Children’s Ministry at South Hills? Maybe a quick text or phone call to let them know how much you appreciate them.
