Final Push before Summer

We are drawing closer to the close of another school year. The sounds you hear in the background are the students screaming for joy, or may be the parents scrambling to finish the summer schedules. Our schedules are full leading into the summer as the students and leaders prepare for the final push of fundraisers. This Wednesday, May 3, we will be having a spaghetti dinner to raise funds for Youth Camp (June 11-15). During the spaghetti dinner, we will be drawing for the picnic table. If you need to purchase tickets, contact a student or the church office. Tickets are $10 each. Sunday, May 21, is Hee Haw: Fun! Fun! Fun! Some have informed me they would like to have an act in Hee Haw, and what they are doing. Please contact Andy or Aaron with your act by Sunday, May 14. We need to make sure we have all we need for you. We will have a sign up sheet or you can email us.

Our church family is gathering this Sunday, May 7, for the church-wide picnic. We will have Small Groups (9:15 am) and Worship (10:30 pm). After Worship, we will go outside (weather permitting) for food, fellowship, and fun! Please remember to bring your favorite lawn game(s) as we fellowship. The meal is $5.00 per person and $15.00 max per family. We welcome you to dress casually for Worship.

In FireFall we began a series "Heart Condition". This new series deals with our heart. We are reminded in Scripture our heart is deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9), and we should not follow the big lie of "follow your heart". If we do, and we know our hearts are deceitful, then our hearts can and will lead us away from God. Instead, we must allow God to create a clean heart in each of us (Psalm 51:10), and transform our minds (Romans 12:2). We must turn to Jesus Christ Who will not deceive us. We can trust Him completely.

We look for ward to seeing you and your families at the fundraisers and the picnic.
