I love VBS!

Not only was Small Group and Worship Service a great time to connect with God and His Family, but VBS was just amazing last night. I am so proud of our brave and committed VBS Workers!

Pastor Chris’ challenge yesterday to memorize both verses (daggers) and chapters (swords) of the Bible yesterday is something we must take seriously. Whatever your experience with scripture memory, now is a great time to start. Ask God to give you the courage and focus to memorize His Word.

God’s Word was on display at Vacation Bible School last night. This week, children from our community are joining with our children to search the visible and discover the invisible. Learning about God’s creation of the universe will help us learn about the one who made it all! As the children sing songs that witness to God’s power, learn about God’s plan for salvation, make craft reminders of their lessons, play games, and discover God’s mission, our Church Family is having an impact on each and every child. God is at work during VBS.

Let me repeat and rephrase Pastor Chris’ challenge. Would you ask the creator of the universe and your mind to give you a willing heart and an able mind for memorizing His Word? Just before God’s people crossed over the Jordan River to inhabit the Promised Land, Moses put the importance of knowing God’s Word: “These instructions are not empty words—they are your life!” (Deut. 32:57)

Let’s live abundantly.
