I thank my God every time I remember you
We have many things for which to be thankful. I am thankful for our last sermon series, "No Regrets." My prayer for us all is that we will not allow our relationship with Christ to be or become routine, we will invest in our relationships with God and others, sharing Christ as we go, and what we do is seen or filtered through Scripture.
As my family and I prepare to have family time out of town, I pray we have no regrets as we relax the first part of Spring Break. We will pray for those of you taking time to get away with your families, or having a stay-cation. I am thankful for the potential opportunity to return to Seattle as we work alongside The Landing Church. We will have a brief interest meeting this Sunday, March 12, immediately following Worship, in room 100.
Our students are stepping up to the challenge as they find their place at South Hills. I am so proud of them as they are leading their peers in worship on Wednesdays in The Loft, serving in the band and tech team in the 10:30 service, and some are investing in our children assisting with childcare during the service Sunday, as well as Wednesday nights. Please take time to pray for and with our children and students as they finish up another year of school. Invest in them through prayer and words of encouragement and affirmation. Tiffany and I feel like these students are our kids. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve this past year, and we are looking forward to many more years with our South Hills family!
"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for you all, I will always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:3-6)
