Looking Ahead

I am truly thankful for our South Hills family. I am excited about new opportunities coming our way this year through new members joining and new classes starting. I am excited about and grateful for continued opportunities as we provide goody bags for high attendance at Dallas Park each month, and partnering with the BSM to provide lunch to students of Tarleton Fort Worth.

The Student Ministry will have a service project on Saturday, February 2 (8:30 am-12 pm) as we complete yard work for a member of our community. Please let me know if you are willing to assist in any of these areas.

The Student Ministry is also gearing up for DiscipleNow (DNow), and Youth Camp. We will have DNow March 29-31, and the theme is Prodigal. Please be in prayer for DNow weekend. Youth Camp is quickly approaching, and we have fundraisers beginning Sunday, February 10 (5 pm-7 pm). This will be our Chili Cook-off, and the winner will receive an amazing trophy and bragging rights for the year.

Youth Camp is June 21-25 in Orange Beach, AL. Our speaker is Robby Gallaty, and Worship will be led by Local Sound. We have a few spots remaining. The total cost is $430, and the deposit is $60. If you haven’t signed up or paid your deposit, please sign up at the sound booth, and turn your deposit in as soon as possible. The theme for camp is Access. We are given access to God through Christ. “Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have also obtained access through him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:1-2).

Thank you for your partnership in ministry,
Andy
