Thanksgiving

I pray you all had a great Thanksgiving. It is always good to use the holiday to get together with family and friends. I am thankful my family and I had the opportunity to camp in God's creation. I am also thankful for our South Hills family, and I am thankful for the opportunity to preach last Sunday. I am still thinking about the passage from Acts 9:1-22; we must, daily, experience God through prayer and Scripture, be expectant as He guides our steps, exclaim Christ to others, as we exercise our faith. I pray God uses this passage and other people to point us to Jesus. This is a great time of the year to reflect and be thankful for the ways God provides for us, and look forward to celebrating the birth of Christ, the greatest gift from God.

As the Christmas season approaches, we will have the opportunity to minister to those around us. Please consider donating clothing, jackets, blankets, backpacks, etc. so we can give them to Fort Worth Safe House. We also have the opportunity to be a blessing to the mothers of Embrace Grace, and we will have more details soon on assisting the families in our community through Dallas Park Elementary. I challenge each of us to allow God to guide us as we make the most of every opportunity (Colossians 4:5) to minister to others as we walk through life each day. As Pastor Chris said, "consistency is the key" in all we do.
